An organizational tool. These templates help you plan and record. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing here replaces a court order, parenting plan, mediation or advice from a family-law attorney. If you have a court order, follow it.
Digital download. Nothing is shipped. Files are delivered digitally. Colors may vary slightly between screens and printers.
Personal, family use. Print as often as you like for your own household or households. Not for resale, redistribution, or use in classroom or clinical products.
About this resource
What it is
Trying to decide between 2-2-3 and 2-2-5-5? Needing a clean calendar both homes can actually follow? This pack explains the most common parenting-time rotations in plain language, shows each one on real dates, gives you blank templates to plan on paper, and includes an Excel workbook that builds a printable color-coded calendar from your start date.
Each rotation gets the same treatment: what it is, who it is often chosen for, the trade-offs, how many overnights and exchanges it creates in a fortnight, a two-week example, a four-week example, and a blank four-week planning template with space for exchange times and locations.
Why it helps
- Compare rotations on real dates instead of arguing in the abstract.
- Hand both homes the same calendar so nobody is working from memory.
- Write the exchange details down once — times, places, who drives, what travels.
